Atticus — On-Premise RAG System for Law Firms

Atticus is an AI-powered legal document analysis platform built for legal teams to upload, manage, and search case documents across multiple formats (PDF, DOCX, TXT, EML). It uses a Retrieval-Augmented Generation pipeline combining vector and keyword search to deliver AI-generated answers with source citations and real-time streaming responses. The platform features role-based access control for Admins and Lawyers, case-scoped document management, and asynchronous processing — all running in a fully Dockerized environment. The stack includes Next.js and React on the frontend, FastAPI and Python on the backend, PostgreSQL for storage, Qdrant for vector search, Elasticsearch for keyword search, and Redis with Celery for queueing and caching. The project showcases end-to-end full-stack development spanning AI integration, distributed search architecture, async pipelines, and production-grade software engineering.
