Project Showcase: ATLASX – Smart Monument Discovery Platform 🌍 Excited to share ATLASX, a full-stack travel discovery web application we built as part of our Web Programming course. The goal was simple: make exploring cities around the world fast, visual, and personalized. 1) Key Features: 1- Instant city exploration with curated landmarks, museums, nature spots, and hidden gems 2- Interactive world map for visual discovery 3- AI-powered travel chatbot that recommends places based on destination and vibes 4- Seasonal recommendations to help users choose the best destinations year-round 5- Travel stories that turn inspiration into exploration 6- Personalized experience with likes, wishlist, visited places, and activity tracking 7- Smooth UI interactions with animations, confetti celebrations, and dark/light mode 2) Tech Stack Frontend: React.js, JavaScript, CSS3, WebGL (OGL.js) Backend: Node.js, Express.js, JWT Authentication Data Persistence: localStorage & JSON-based storage Check out the full project on GitHub: https://lnkd.in/dc9Ejfdg This project strengthened our skills in component-based architecture, state management, API design, authentication, and user-focused UI/UX, while showing how thoughtful frontend and backend integration can create engaging real-world applications.
